Refrigeration system design and sizing
The design process begins with the customer’s requirements and can start, for example, from a floor plan. System sizing takes account of the required cooling and freezing capacities and the site’s temperature levels. The design also considers the positioning and serviceability of refrigerated display cabinets and equipment, energy efficiency, heat recovery and remote monitoring requirements.
Project management and refrigeration expertise
Our project management team coordinates schedules, procurement, installation and the work of different parties from project preparation through commissioning. Our refrigeration specialists ensure that the implementation meets the site requirements and is coordinated with the project’s other works.
Installation, commissioning and functional testing
We install refrigeration systems and refrigerated display cabinets according to the agreed scope. During commissioning and functional testing, we verify the system’s operation, settings and performance before handover.
CO₂ refrigeration systems for retail and industry
Epta Services Oy designs and delivers CO₂ refrigeration systems for retail and industrial applications. Each system is sized to meet the site’s cooling, freezing and process requirements and integrated with the building’s other technical systems.
The delivery covers system sizing and equipment selection, integration with other building systems, commissioning and functional testing, as well as operational monitoring and energy optimization. Lifecycle services also include operational supervision and remote monitoring of CO₂ refrigeration plants.
Maintenance, remote monitoring and energy optimization
We maintain the performance of refrigeration solutions throughout their lifecycle. Our services include scheduled maintenance, troubleshooting and repairs, spare parts services, technical modifications, remote monitoring, operational supervision of CO₂ refrigeration plants and energy optimization.
Remote monitoring helps identify deviations and target maintenance measures according to need. Our maintenance customers also have access to a 24/7 on-call service.

Industrial refrigeration reference projects
Bama Fresh Cuts, Vantaa
A complete refrigeration and heating system was delivered for Bama Fresh Cuts’ production facility of more than 6,000 square metres. The site has 900 kW of refrigeration capacity and 500 kW of heat pump capacity. The temperature in the production and storage areas is approximately +4 °C.
Keeping to the schedule was essential to the customer’s business. According to the customer, the project stayed on schedule even better than expected.
Hakafood Oy, Valkeakoski
In the expansion of Hakafood Oy’s bakery, Epta was responsible for the complete refrigeration solution. Two large refrigeration packs were installed at the factory, one of which serves a demanding freezing process, together with approximately 15 different refrigerated areas, including blast freezers, cooling units and storage areas for different stages of production.
The refrigeration packs were equipped with heat recovery, allowing waste heat from the process to be used for space heating and domestic hot water production. The installation was carried out in an operating production facility, requiring precise scheduling and coordination between the different parties.
